Local and craft beers tend to come from smaller or independent breweries specializing in the artisan and traditional attributes of beer. A craft brewer is classified when annual production is less than 6 million barrels of beer.
Domestic and even most imported beers are the “big dog” breweries. What separates them is if they are brewed here in the states or overseas. Many of these are great to cook with or have become American staples. From having a Budweiser at a barbecue, or a Corona at the lake, these beers have a home in our hearts too.
