Easter Dinner Cocktails
As the temperatures start to rise and those Bradford pears are blooming, it could only mean one thing. Clearly, winter is giving way to spring, and that means Easter! Having people over for Easter dinner? Be a great host and great them with a cocktail! Rather you are in the mood for vodka, gin, or rum we have the perfect spring worthy cocktail for your dinner party.
The corpse reviver #2! (since it is about the resurrection of Jesus…)
- 1 oz vodka
- 1 oz cointreau
- 1 oz Lillet Blanc
- 1 oz lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- a few drops (yes, drops) absinthe
Shake in an iced cocktail shaker and serve up with a cherry at the bottom of the glass. In fact, the correct proportions are very important.
Gin Fizz (what is Easter without some egg?)
- Gin
- Lemon
- Simple Syrup or maple syrup
- Egg white
- Soda Water
Shake the drink ingredients without ice first. This let the protein in the egg begin to form foam, instead of being diluted by the ice. Then add ice and shake again. This cools the drink and strengthens the foam. Strain it into the glass and you’ll get a thick, white frothy layer.
Ginger Bunny (because who doesn’t love bunnies and rum?)
- 1.5oz Silver Rum
- 1oz Carrot Juice
- 3/4oz Lemon Juice
- 3/4oz Cinnamon Syrup
Combine the ingredients and shake times. Then, pour over ice in a rocks glass. Lastly, Top the drink off with ginger beer.
Don’t stop there!
