Knob Creek Bourbon Cocktails
Other bourbons stop short. We push further to get the fuller flavor, aging longer to soak up more complexities from the charred oak barrels. Then we bottle it at an uncompromising 100 proof. The way it was meant to be before corner cutters tried to make people forget what true pre-prohibition style bourbon tastes like.
CLASSIC OLD FASHIONED
INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 parts Knob Creek® Bourbon
- 3 DASHES Angostura® Bitters
- Pinch of raw sugar
- Cherry to garnish
DIRECTIONS
- In a rocks glass, muddle the sugar and bitters.
- Add ice, then pour the bourbon on top.
- Stir gently to mix.
- Garnish with a cherry.
NEW FASHIONED
INGREDIENTS
- 1 PART Knob Creek® Bourbon Whiskey
- A 1/2 PART amaretto
- 1/4 PART simple syrup
- 3 DASHES bitters
- 1 orange peel
DIRECTIONS
- In a shaker with ice, stir in all the ingredients.
- Strain into rocks glass to serve neat and chilled.
- Garnish with a sliver of orange peel.
SMOKED MAPLE OLD FASHIONED
INGREDIENTS
- 2 PARTS Knob Creek® Smoked Maple Bourbon
- 2-3 DASHES of bitters
- SMALL PINCH of raw sugar
- SPLASH of club soda
- Orange slice
- Cherry
DIRECTIONS
- In a rocks glass, muddle the sugar and bitters.
- Add ice to the glass and pour bourbon over.
- Top with a splash of club soda, then garnish with the cherry and orange slice.
BACON OLD FASHIONED
INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 PARTS Knob Creek® Smoked Maple Bourbon
- 3 TSP. Brown Sugar Simple Syrup
- 3 DASHES of Orange Bitters Orange Peel
- 1 STRIP of Candied Bacon
DIRECTIONS
- Cut the bacon strip in half. Chop one half into small pieces.
- In a cocktail shaker, add the small bacon pieces, brown sugar simple syrup and bitters.
- Add ice to the cocktail shaker and proceed to shake until well mixed. About a dozen times.
- Double strain the mixture into a low ball glass with fresh ice, removing the bacon pieces.
- Add bourbon and stir.
- Garnish with the remaining 1/2 bacon strip and a sliver of orange peel.
